Blackburn, Lancashire, Friday, 1st May 2026 - EG On The Move today announces the acquisition of MPK Garages Ltd, a leading independent petrol forecourt operator ranked among the UK's Top 50 Indies (Forecourt Trader - Independent Petrol Forecourt Operators).
The acquisition significantly strengthens EG On The Move's national footprint, with particular expansion across the Midlands, enhancing accessibility and service coverage. On completion, with the inclusion of the MPK site assets, the EG ON The Move network will be edging towards 200 sites across the United Kingdom.
The transaction involves the acquisition of MPK Garages Limited, comprising a portfolio of 27 petrol forecourt sites. The majority of the sites are freehold and operate under Valero, Texaco, and Gulf fuel brands, with Nisa-branded retail stores. The transaction is currently expected to complete on Friday, 1st May 2026.
The purchase of the MPK network creates a strong platform for investment and enhancement of the existing non-fuel customer offer. EG On The Move plans to roll out an enhanced foodservice proposition alongside a broader, more comprehensive grocery and merchandise range, delivering greater convenience and choice for customers.
The acquisition creates an opportunity for EG On The Move to expand fast EV charging and provide local businesses with competitive fuel card options for their fleets through EV On The Move and EG OTM Fuel Card, respectively.
According to Forecourt Trader's Top 50 Indies 2026 ranking, EG On The Move is currently the third largest independent petrol forecourt operator in the United Kingdom, with MPK ranked thirteenth. The combined strength of both businesses positions EG On The Move for continued growth and innovation in the forecourt sector.
This acquisition follows the approval of the company's accounts on Thursday, 26th March 2026, in which EG On The Move reported revenue of over £1bn and EBITDA of £52m for the year ended 31 December 2025.
Zuber Issa, CEO, EG On The Move said, "The MPK acquisition marks another important step in our UK growth strategy. MPK is a highly respected petrol forecourt operator with a strong regional presence in the Midlands.
Wayne Harrand, CEO, MPK added "Since 2018, MPK have invested in its people and its portfolio. It is fitting that our new owner has the same philosophy and is well-positioned to enhance the customer offer on the MPK sites acquired and be able to deliver long-term customer value and financial performance across the combined network."
EG On The Move thanks its banking partners and professional advisers for their support in delivering the transaction, with special appreciation to Cleary Gottlieb for its legal guidance throughout the process.
